GTIP is the abbreviation of Customs Tariff Statistics Position. In our country, GTIP, which is generally used instead of tariff schedule, is actually the name given to the 12-digit code in the Turkish Customs Tariff Schedule. HS Code, Customs Tariff, Harmonised Code or Harmonised System in English.

GTIP consists of a 12-digit code system,

1-2. The first two digits represent the chapter in the system.

3-4. The third and fourth digits represent the heading.

5-6. The fifth and sixth digits represent the subheading.

7-8. The seventh and eighth digits represent the Combined Nomenclature of the European Union (This code exists to facilitate the examination of trade statistics of member countries of the European Union).

9-10. The ninth and tenth digits represent different tax numbers.

11-12. The eleventh and twelfth digits represent the GTIP code.
