Aluminum foil is a very thin sheet of aluminum, typically ranging from approximately 0.006mm to a maximum of 0.2mm (200μm) as specified by ISO standards.

Aluminum foil provides an absolute barrier against moisture, light, and oxygen, while retaining aromas inside. About 75% of aluminum foil is used in packaging and household consumption.
